ADM Tigers softball was able to punch their ticket that way to state on Tuesday night after a walk off hit to make a trip to Fort Dodge. The Tigers will be the three seed in the first round and will be taking on the Clippers of Clear Creek – Amana, who are the six seed in the 4A tournament. The Clippers will be coming in with a 29-9 record, ADM at 25-10.
The Tigers will be taking on a Clippers team that has a terrific pitching staff that has a team, with a team ERA of 1.73. Their leading pitcher is sophomore Ashley Webb, who has had a tremendous season with a 1.12 ERA, with 158 strikeouts and 13 walks, while only giving up a .175 batting average against opponents.
As a team, the Clippers are hitting at a .337 average, with 49 doubles, eight triples, and fourteen home runs as a team this season. Senior Gabrielle Bedford had a .429 average, leading the team in home runs at six and 37 RBIs.
