adm-7

ADM Tigers hitter Brynn Busta had the bases loaded, two outs, and the Tigers trailing by one with the season on the line when she stepped up to the plate, but she remained cool as she hit a line drive out to left to score the tying and winning run to advance the Tigers to the state tournament, winning 4-3 over the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays. Busta was able to take an inside pitch and muscle it the outfield, as Ella Grossman was able to score from third and Olivia Tollari flying in from second as ADM was able to stun the Bluejays and put their home fans into a frenzy.

In a wild back and forth game game, ADM was able to get the scoring going in the first inning when Brooke Hickey was able to deliver her 14th home run of the season to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Bondurant-Farrar scored in the 3rd inning as both pitchers were good with the score staying 2-1 until a wild 7th inning of play. The Bluejays were able to fight back, as catcher Annika Dearden was able to hit a stunning two run home run to center field to give the Bluejays the first lead of the game at 3-2. In the bottom of the frame, Ella Grossman was able to get a hit followed by a hit by Olivia Tollari. Hickey was intentionally walked for the three straight at bat, Aliya Yanga struck out setting the stage for the big hit.

ADM moves to 25-10 on the season and will be looking for more success next week with a 4A tournament that is going to feature five different Raccoon River Conference teams.

For ADM, they will be playing in Fort Dodge next Tuesday for the 4A tournament, as they will be taking on Clear Creek – Amana in the first round at 3:30. All postseason coverage will be broadcast on True Country K1079.
