For those looking for entertainment tonight to kick-off the 4th of July celebration, the City of Churdan is where you should be.

The Churdan Library will be serving ice cream sundaes and floats in the city park from 6-6:45pm, followed by a performance of the Town and Country Band starting at 7pm. Both events are free-will donations and Town and Country Band Director Snowy Chargo talks about what they use funding on.

“We have kind of annual expenses for registration for our trailer and that kind of stuff. As we add members we need more shirts and that kind of stuff. And we always like to try and play some new music and unfortunately that stuff’s not free. So any donations are greatly appreciated.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and bug spray.
