While much needed rain fell in the last few weeks, drought conditions continue for the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area. 

According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, most of Dallas County is under a severe drought and the southeastern corner under a moderate drought. All of Greene County is under a severe drought and most of Guthrie County is under a severe drought except the soutwestern corner which is under a moderate drought. 

According to the National Weather Service for the month of June, Guthrie Center received 2.41 inches of rain behind its average of 5.23 inches, Jefferson received 2.53 inches of rain, which is down from its average of 5.19 inches and Perry received 5.27 inches of rain, ahead of its average of 4.88 inches.
