Dallas Center – Grimes girls softball will be returning to the field tonight, when they take on the Newton Cardinals in Little Hawkeye Conference play.

DCG comes in at 16-14 and Newton at 14-15 as both teams will be looking to file up important wins. DCG is currently ranked sixth in 4A in the state of Iowa, and that is largely because they have played some great competition and been competitive against excellent teams. DCG is on a two game losing streak currently, and will be hoping to play clean softball, get some big hits, and find some excellent individual performances if they are looking to pick up the win.

The doubleheader will begin around 5:30, and will give the Mustangs the opportunity to pile on some wins.
