A special event is happening Wednesday at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center.
Library Director Pat Sleister says the Blank Park Zoo will be visiting and bringing several creatures related to the Summer Reading Program theme of “Reading Colors Your World.”
“So there will be colorful animals. Of course with the COVID thing you won’t be able to touch the animals this year, but they always do a wonderful program. It’ll be fun. It’s open to everybody, not just the Summer Reading Program kids.”
The program starts at 1pm at the library and it is free. Sleister notes that the Summer Reading Program participants are encouraged to arrive at 12:30pm. You can hear more from Sleister about Wednesday’s event and other activities with the library on today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
