For those looking to get rid of unwanted and unused items, there will be an opportunity to do so this weekend in Yale for its residents.
The Yale citywide cleanup will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Sunday. Residents are asked to have items on the curb by 8 a.m. and will be picked up or residents can drop off items themselves at the roll off containers located on the north side of Memorial Park until 2 p.m.
There will be a designated container for scrap metal and appliances. There will also be a small trailer for televisions, and other containers can be used for furniture and other unwanted items. No regular household garbage will be accepted.
Also, tires, batteries, paint, cement, grass clippings or tree limbs will not be accepted. There will be no charge for appliances this year but fees for televisions still apply. Pickup is only available to residents inside the city limits.
For any questions you can contact Yale City Hall at 641-439-2313.
