An Ogden man was recently sentenced to probation for a drug incident in Jefferson.

According to court documents, 44-year-old Scott Perdue pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine. He had a five year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for two years.

The charge stemmed from a September 7, 2020 incident at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson. Perdue dropped a baggie of drugs on the floor while playing slot machines. The baggie was submitted to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) agent on site and test results came back positive for methamphetamine.

Perdue was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and court-appointed attorney fees.
