ADM Tigers softball got into a challenging game against North Polk on Wednesday night, as they were able to pick up the victory 4-3 in extra innings to secure their 20th win of the season. Sophomore Addison Banse had the bases loaded in the 8th inning and was able to lift a fly ball to right field that was deep enough to score the winning run and record the sacrifice fly.
ADM got down three early as a pair of errors helped the Comets score in both the first and the third innings. The Tigers were able to get the scoring going in the bottom of the third when junior Olivia Tollari was able to blast her second home run of the season to left center to help the Tigers close the lead to one. The Tigers tied the game in the fourth after Banse was able to get another RBI on a sacrifice fly.
Aliya Yanga was able to pitch all eight innings in the victory, getting stronger throughout the night to help the Tigers pick up a key win.
ADM will be back in action tonight when they take on the Ballard Bombers, and will be looking to keep an eye on the weather as well as it could potentially be a factor.
