A state highway project in Guthrie County begins tomorrow.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, a bridge deck overlay will be on Iowa Highway 44, between highways 4 in Panora and 25 in Guthrie Center. During the project, there will be intermediate lane closures with temporary traffic lights in place. DOT officials remind motorists to obey the posted speed limits and other signs in the work zone and allow for ample space between vehicles. 

The project is set to begin tomorrow morning at 6am and the anticipated completion date is Thursday, September 30th, weather permitting.
