The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.
The meeting will begin with three public hearings and consider selling three city-owned lots, including 705 West Adams, 607 West Lincoln Way, and 703 North Chestnut Street. Additionally, the Council will consider approving a maintenance agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for state primary roads, the first reading to amend an ordinance for abandoned water connections and temporary vacancy, as well as adding temporary water service rates. They will also consider the third reading to amend ordinances to increase water rates by three-percent and sewer rates by 5.5-percent.
Finally, the Council will consider the first reading to amend an ordinance for terraces, decks and patios, along with an ordinance on animal protection and control to add sections for feral cat colonies.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
