Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority recently announced $400,000 of grants for 26 projects aimed to help grow and revitalize rural communities, which includes one in Dallas County. 

Latinos Al Exito Incorporated in Perry, Tama and Hampton, was one of the 26 recipients, and will receive $20,000 toward a year-long rural leadership development program for latino communities. 

The total cost for the project is $30,000. Al Exito is a statewide nonprofit organization which focuses on advancing the educational achievement and leadership capacity of Latinx youth and their families.
