For those wanting to get a taste of what the Dallas County Fair has in store this year, an event will be taking place later this week. 

The Dallas County Pre-Fair Rodeo will be Friday and Saturday at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. The two day event will feature live musical performances after the rodeo with Neil Hewitt on Friday and Ted Stockton on Saturday. 

The cost for admission is $12 for an adult and for children ages 6-12 the cost is $5. The event will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
