The Bell Tower Festival enters its final day today, with lots of activities.

The event kicked off Friday night with the opening ceremonies, where Michelle Book and Tom Morain were recognized as the recipients. This morning’s festivities consist of the Jefferson Fire Department breakfast from 6-10am at the fire station, where the winner of a new propane gas grill will be announced from their raffle fundraiser. The major attraction in the morning is the parade at 11am that heads north on Chestnut Street to the south side of the downtown square.

Other activities include family-friendly games on the east side of the square, cow pie bingo, a dunk tank, the car show and trivia. The event wraps up with evening musical entertainment with Hawk McIntyre and Jake Doty at 6:30pm, followed by Decoy at 9. 

Then tomorrow will be a golf tournament at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. The four-person best shot tournament begins at 9am. The fee of $30 for passholders and $45 for non-passholders. Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from 9am-6pm today.
