A reminder that today there is a special event in the town of Jamaica.

The Summer Block Party, put on by the Jamaica Lions Club, will be happening today from 4-8 p.m. on Main Street in Jamaica. Zipps Pizza will be providing pizza for people to enjoy, for $4 a slice, and there will be games available including corn hole, jumbo Jenga and Connect Four, along with music. 

Proceeds from the event will go towards the Jamaica community building. There will be a free outdoor movie, at Just One More to wrap up the event at 8:45 p.m.
