For Perry residents wanting to get rid of unused and unneeded items, there will be two events taking place tomorrow.

The household hazardous waste collection will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the police and fire station parking lot. The list of items accepted includes aerosol cleaners and paints, antifreeze, glues, gasoline and kerosene, oven cleaner and pesticides, among other items.

Also, the tire collection event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Perry Recycle Center. There will be no charge to dispose of the first five car tires, with a $1 fee for each tire after that. The cost for large truck or tractor tires is $5 each.

All tires must be removed from the rims and tires from businesses will not be collected.

For a full list of what will and won’t be accepted for the hazardous waste collection event you can go here or contact Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
