Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger baseball were cruising along against Winterset on Wednesday evening, as they had a five run lead at one point, but couldn’t hold on as they fell by the score of 8-5 in a tough home loss. The Tigers led 5-0 as they went to the top of the sixth, and gave up seven runs in the frame as Winterest put up a massive rally to take the lead and ultimately the win.
Things were good for the Tigers early, putting up three in the first frame and one in both the third and fourth innings. Tate Stine-Smith was able to get a major blast to help punctuate the offensive attack.
Stine-Smith was good through five innings on the mound, but ran into that fateful 6th, as hits and errors played a major impact on the inning and the Tigers weren’t able to recover. ADM had four errors on the night.
Baseball will be looking to get back on track tonight when they go on the road to take on Carlisle.
