WCV Baseball came away with their third win of the 2021 season after beating Madrid at home.

The Wildcats struck first taking a 1-0 heading into the 2nd inning. Madrid would respond with a run in the 2nd to tie it 1-1. WCV would pull away in the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs. They would tack on 2 more runs in the 4th. WCV allowed four more runs but held on to win 8-5.

Offensively for WCV, sophomore Braiden Beane led the team with 3 hits and 3 runs. Owen Harwood notched 3 RBIs. Pitcher Blaise Beane had 11 strikeouts in 7 innings.

WCV will back at home today to take on ACGC. First pitch is at 5PM.
