The Stuart Public Library recently announced its next phase of reopening its facility.

The Stuart Library Board of Trustees decided to allow individuals or family groups of no more than 24 patrons to be inside the library at one time. Because of the limited capacity, patrons are asked to limit their time to one hour if there are other people waiting to use the library. The library will continue to offer online, curbside and home delivery services.

Library Director Lisa Sherman talks about the feedback she has been receiving from those who have come back into the library.

“People have been absolutely great. They come in, they get their books, their materials, and check out and get going. I am so thankful to see the kids coming back in, the families coming back in. So that is just a wonderful thing.”

Other COVID-19 recommendations are for those individuals over the age of two and who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer locations throughout the facility. Sherman urges everyone to continue to use the outside book drop to return materials.
