The Perry Chamber of Commerce held its Grocery Bill Roundup fundraiser which ended this past Monday, and one participating business raised more than $1,500.

Fareway was one of the participating businesses, along with Hy-Vee, and after the competition ended the grand total raised was $1,642.52. The total number of transactions that rounded their totals up to the nearest dollar was 3,097. Of those the highest number of roundups for a specific cashier was 402. 

The Grocery Bill Roundup ran from May 21st-31st at Fareway with all of the money raised going toward the Fourth of July fireworks drive for the celebration in Perry. To date, the Chamber has already surpassed the goal of $12,500 for this year.
