A fun activity where youth can learn about food will soon begin with the Perry Public Library.
In conjunction with ISU Extension and Outreach the Perry Public Library will be offering a virtual Kids in the Kitchen series for two age groups, kindergarten to second grade and third to fifth grade and will run for seven weeks this spring and summer.
The series will teach youth about healthy eating, basic cooking skills and food safety while getting to prepare simple recipes during the sessions running at 10 a.m. for kindergarten to second graders and 2 p.m. for third to fifth graders.
The series is set to begin on June 8th and registration is required to participate and free recipe kits are included for each program. For more information and to register you can go here.
