A Greene County man was sentenced to prison for two separate incidents.

According to court documents, 38-year-old Andrew Jensen pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, with credit for time already served. 

The charge stemmed from an incident near the Scranton Community Center on October 27, 2020. A witness at the community center reported seeing Jensen trying to enter a vehicle at a nearby private property. When a Greene County Deputy confronted Jensen, he wasn’t being compliant and provided a false name. As Jensen was being booked into the Greene County Jail, a baggie was found on him containing what looked like meth. 

Court documents show that the other charges, including felonies for attempted burglary and possession of contraband in correctional facility grounds were dismissed, as per the plea agreement.

The prison sentence was to run concurrently with another conviction from a drug-related incident on May 2, 2020. Jensen pled guilty to another Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
