There’s still time to sign up for a few activities with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

The annual Ding Dong Dash will be happening during this year’s Bell Tower Festival. There are three races including one mile, 5K and 10K. The routes will be on hard surfaces only throughout Jefferson, with major intersections to be controlled. Runners/walkers must be aware of other motorists during the race and water, as well as first aid will be provided along the routes. Entry fee is $30 per runner and cash prizes will be announced following the race for the winners of each age/gender division.

Dogs are also invited to participate with an entry fee of $40 and each canine will receive a scarf and a treat. Proceeds from the canine race will go toward the Greene County Animal Shelter. The event will be on June 12th, with check-ins from 7-7:45am, followed by the start of the one mile race at 8am and the 5/10K starting at 8:20am. 

Finally, American Athletic Incorporated/Spaulding is teaming up with Parks and Rec to sponsor the 3-on-3 basketball tournament also during Bell Tower Festival on June 12th. All games will be held at Russell Park, starting at 1pm. Entry fee is $15 per player.
