A Stuart man recently pled guilty to a lesser charge following an alleged harassment incident involving Governor Kim Reynolds.
Sources say 48-year-old Harvey Hunter pled guilty to second-degree harassment, as part of a plea offer. The charge stemmed from a January 5th voicemail he left for Governor Reynolds where he used threats against her, which the Iowa State Patrol then investigated. Hunter was originally charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for first-degree harassment.
According to court documents, the sentence hearing for Hunter will take place June 7th at the Polk County Courthouse. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
