The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.

The meeting will begin with a public hearing for a budget amendment for the current fiscal year and they will then consider approving the amendment. Another public hearing will then be held to sell 100 East State and will consider selling the property and enter into an economic development agreement following the hearing. 

Additionally, the Council will consider approving the second reading to rezone two areas of town and amending the ordinances to increase the water rates by three-percent and the sewer rates by 5.5-percent. The Council will then hear a library expansion project and consider funding for a study for the project. Finally, they will hear a Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community quarterly report.

The meeting will be held at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
