Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers track and field had their final day of the state track and field, one that saw Nate Mueller add two more championships to his resume, Brevin Doll grab a state championship, and the boys boost a state runner-up mark in a great Saturday performance. The boys team put up 75.5 points throughout the three day event, as they ended up just 4.5 points behind 3A state champion Pella.
Mueller was able to finish off a great ADM career in style, winning the 800 meter race with a time of 1:54.83, winning by a couple of seconds to start out his day. A couple of hours later Mueller was able to grab his second one of the day with a time of 4:16.70 in the 1600 meter run, solidifying a great weekend with three state championships.
In the 200 meter run, Brevin Doll was able to outrun a lot of quick people to his first state championship, winning with a mark of 22.19 seconds. Doll was able to win by .08, as he was able to win an exciting race.
ADMs sprint medley team was able to grab a first place performance to win a championship at 1:34.05, winning by .07 of a second in a victory. Doll, Austin Younger, Ethan Juergens, and Owen Higgins the members of the state championship team.
Both ADM teams are completely done for the year, but what a special one for both, as the Tigers were able to put up a special 2021 season.
