Following the emergency approval by the federal Food and Drug Administration for kids as young as 12 years old to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, Greene County Public Health has scheduled a couple of clinics.
Director Becky Wolf says the Pfizer vaccine will be administered later this week at both school districts in the county for kids 12 to 18 years old. The first clinic will take place from 10am-2pm tomorrow at Greene County middle and high schools. Paton-Churdan middle schoolers can get their vaccine from 10am-2pm Friday, while P-C high school students can get the shot at Greene County High School. That would mean the second dose will need to happen June 9th and 11th from 10am-2pm.
Wolf notes that because of the robust immune system that adolescents and teens have, the Pfizer vaccine is 100-percent effective in preventing COVID-19. Click the link below to sign up for an appointment.
