An annual event is going to make its return this week in Stuart.

The first Stuart Farmers Market of the season is this Wednesday from 4:30-6:30pm at Lawbaugh Park on Division Street. Stuart Chamber Board President Ryan Morrison encourages everyone to support their local farmers market.

“Different community members come out and sell their local crafts, and garden items, and baked goods, and things like that. So kind of a neat community thing to collect and shop local from your neighbors.”

Farmers market organizers are expecting to have asparagus, rhubarb, onions, lettuce, radishes, kohlrabi, along with jams, eggs and baked goods. There are also new vendors that have signed up this year. The Stuart Farmers Market will be on Wednesdays from May 19th through October 17th.
