With the Big Boom Bracket Battle and Radio Pie Auction taking care of the fundraising for the Fourth of July Celebration earlier this year, the Perry Chamber is discussing future fundraisers.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the grocery bill roundup normally happens along with the Big Boom Bracket Battle and Radio Pie Auction. She points out, the plans are for the grocery roundup to happen this year.

“We are planning on still doing that the week leading up to Memorial Day Weekend at both Fareway and Hy-Vee and that will really determine what our plan is moving forward. Right now we are just over our goal by a little bit.”

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the outcome of the grocery bill roundup will determine what the Chamber decides to do with the extra money. Pasutti explains some ideas of what the Chamber may do.

“It gives us the opportunity to have a bigger display if that’s the route that we want to go. That’s what it is looking like but we will know more after the roundup and it will either result in a larger show or we will bank it for next year.”
