The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the property tax credit allowances at their regular meeting Tuesday.
Also, the Board approved the abatement of mobile home taxes, rezoning property of Josh Bandstra from agricultural to light industrial and set the time and date of 9:30 a.m. May 25th for the public hearing of the second fiscal year 2021 budget amendment.
Finally, the Board discussed the possibility of placing an internet antenna on the courthouse bell tower or other county owned communications towers and heard comments from public safety personnel about needing engineering studies to confirm if the internet antenna would interfere with emergency signals. The Board took no action on the item.
Also, the Board discussed the 128th Place Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Securities (CARES) Act joint project. The Board questioned where the additional financing for the roughly $3.9 million project would come from outside of the possible $1.25 million grant.
At this time the Board did not support the project but took no formal action and will potentially discuss the project further at their next meeting.
