Friday, May 7th
1:10am: An officer was requested at the jail to assist the jailer with an inmate.
1:01pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Danielle Bacon of Grand Junction being cited for, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Driving While Suspended.”
2:30pm: Officers executed a Search Warrant at 406 East Washington Street . Further evidence was gathered in a Sex Abuse Case that began on 05/06/2021.
5:52pm: Laura Hoyle reported a verbal argument with her brother had occurred at 1409 North Elm Street.
6:30pm: Shawn Wilkerson reported a male subject harassing him at 507 East reed Street.
9:21pm: A caller advised of a large fire at 305 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the fires, which were being supervised.
Saturday, May 8th
3:03am: Erica Murphy advised that she was driving around the Jefferson Square and her boyfriend was chasing her in his vehicle. She reported he had struck the rear of her vehicle numerous times, trying to get her to stop. During an interview, the officer determined that the male subject had assaulted Murphy twice, prior to this event. The officer has applied for (2) Arrest Warrants for Mark Douglas Haase, 34 of Ogden for, “Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense/Causing Bodily Injury – Aggravated.
7:46am: Probation Officer Naeve spoke to an officer and reported that Mark Haase is on Probation out of Boone County. He was wearing an Ankle Monitoring Bracelet, but it appears it was removed. It was pinging near Cedar and McKinley Streets. The officer went to the area and located the bracelet.
9:47am: An officer responded to 300 American Ave. for an Alarm Activation. The officer was advised it was a false alarm before he arrived.
2:24pm: An officer responded to another Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. This was also a false alarm.
6:20pm: Alysha Dehote spoke with an officer concerning a Social Media Issue.
8:26pm: Brittany Olson requested a Welfare Check on a family member at 405 North Chestnut Street. The officer contacted the subject, who was sick but needed no assistance.
9:23pm: An officer checked 513 North Olive Street for a male subject wanted out of Boone County.
10:08pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.
10:33pm: Heather Patrick reported hearing a car horn and a female screaming in the 400 Block of West Madison Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
Sunday, May 9th
1:35am: Nellie Petterson requested an officer at 107 North Olive Street for someone attempting to break into her residence. The officer arrived and found no evidence of an attempted break in.
5:01am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The officer found the building to be secure.
5:59am: The GCMC ER requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street for a reported Child Abuse. The officer arrived and learned the crime had been committed in Guthrie County. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was forwarded the information gathered by the officer.
7:24am: A deputy requested an officer to be on the look for a male who was making threats against a female by text. The officer did not locate the subject.
9:24pm: A caller advised that Mark Haase was currently at 513 North Olive Street and is wanted out of Boone County. The officers worked with the female resident to be allowed inside to search for Haase. Officers and deputies located him in an upstairs bedroom hiding in a compartment underneath a bed. He was arrested to be taken back to Boone county.
Monday, May 10th
8:49am: Hospice of the Midwest requested a Welfare Check on an employee in the 500 Block of North Olive Street. The officer was able to speak to the employee at about 1100 hours and learned she was fine.
1:40pm: Brittany Olson reported hearing screaming somewhere near the 300 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officers did not locate anything in the area.
2:42pm: Lori Higgins reported a brush fire was rekindling at 305 East Lincoln Way Street and no one appears to be home. The officer spoke to a resident, who advised she would use a hose to put the fire out.
2:45pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 200 West State Street. A 2016 Dodge 1500, owned and operated by Shiena Hadley of Bagley, was bocking in the lot and struck a parked vehicle. The 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was owned by Barbara Kendall of Jefferson. Both vehicles suffered a reported $1000.00 in damages each.
8:14pm: HyVee reported a stray German Shepherd in the 100 Block of West Washington Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
9:06pm: An officer covered a Car vs. Deer Accident on Hwy 4, near 210 th Street. A 2010 Toyota Corolla, owned by Matt Carlson of Jefferson, was being operated by Eliza Carlson. She was southbound and struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle had a reported $6000.00 in damages. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
9:19pm: Brenda Batschelet reported possible harassment by a known male. The officer learned the male had said “Hi” and it was not harassment.
10:43pm: The A&W reported a couple sleeping in their car in the parking lot at 300 North Elm Street. The officer made contact with the couple and learned their vehicle had broken down and could not be moved. The officer spoke to local clergy and a Motel Room was paid for the evening by clergy.
