The Wildcats started Saturday at 10AM against Council Bluffs Jefferson. WCV won the game in dominating fashion. Winning 9-2.

Junior Matt Gerling led the team with a Hat Trick. Not to be outdone, Freshman Kameron Kunkle had a Hat Trick of his own. For the first time all season the Wildcats won a game without it being a shutout. WCV would advance to face Humboldt.

Unfortunately for the Wildcats their two game winning streak over the weekend came to end with Humboldt. The Wildcats would lose 2-0. Humboldt had 19 shots (12 SOG) to WCV’s 16 (4 SOG). That was ultimately the deciding factor in the game.

The 8-5 Wildcats will be back on the field today against Harlan at home. The game will kickoff at 5:30PM.
