Two high school students in Greene County were recently selected for a state award.

Kendall Fecher from Greene County and Chloe Berns from Paton-Churdan were among the 424 other high school seniors across Iowa that were chosen for the Governor Scholar Award. These students were recognized as the highest academic achievers for their first seven semesters in high school. 

The program started in 2003 and is sponsored by the Governor’s Office, Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Farm Bureau.
