Paton-Churdan’s Danielle Hoyle shattered her own school record in the shot put in Guthrie Center Thursday at the ACGC C0ed Invitational. The 6′ 3″ senior tossed the metal ball 40′ 2″, adding 18″ onto her previous best of 38′ 8″. The new school record is also the third best in Class 1A this season according to stat website Varsity Bound. Hoyle threw the discus 108′ 8″ and won both events. She scored more than half of the Rockets’s team points in those two events.
The best finish for the P-C boys came from junior Bradyn Smith in the discus throw at 115′ 11″ good for second place.
The P-C teams are back at it later today in Lake City at South Central Calhoun High School.
