With the recent announcement of the recipients of the Iowa Governor’s Scholar awards, Guthrie County had multiple honorees. 

The award, which was first  established in 2003, was presented by the Iowa Governor’s Office, Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Farm Bureau. Among the 424 seniors that were honored, those in Guthrie County included Audrey Stowe for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, Emma Johnston for Panorama and Grant Caltrider for West Central Valley. 

Those who were selected will receive a plaque and a certificate for being selected by their high school as a top academic achiever.
