A special program is taking place next week at Spring Lake Park in Greene County.

The Jefferson Tree Committee is hosting a Tree Walk at Spring Lake Park Tuesday at 2pm. Greene County Conservation Director Dan Towers, Spring Lake Park Ranger Joe Allen, Tree’s Forever Coordinator Brad Riphagen and Jefferson Tree Committee member Lynn Menz will lead the free program. The event will start at the Lakeside Shelterhouse and attendees will learn about the different species of trees at the park, including the bark and leaves of the trees, as well as their growing conditions. 

No registration is required and participants are asked to wear comfortable walking shoes.
