The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower music policy and appointed Peg Raney for a four-year term as the music coordinator, Bill Monroe to a four-year term as the musician, and the over 80 individuals as maestros, as per the policy stipulations. The Board then approved Brandon Gustoff as a part time dispatcher for the sheriff’s office for $14 per hour and when he is fully certified, his rate will increase to $17 per hour. The Board also approved Crystal Beyers as a full time jailer for the sheriff’s office with a salary of $35,000 and when she is fully certified, she will receive a $1,000 increase per year.

Next, the Board approved a beer permit for Lakeside National Golf Club and set May 24th at 9am as the public hearing date for a 2021 fiscal year budget amendment. Finally, the Board approved the offer and acceptance of the Interstate Power and Light Company to purchase the former Alliant Energy building on North Mulberry Street, near Sparky’s One Stop gas station. The purchase price was $582,000 and will initially be used for the Secondary Road Department’s cold storage facility.
