The Jefferson Police Department has filed charges against a Panora man for a couple of alleged incidents in Jefferson.
According to the police department, an officer responded to a call for possible criminal mischief to a resident’s home and vehicle in the 400 block of West Russell Street at 3:05am Saturday. During the investigation, it was reported that the vehicle’s hood was damaged, along with a window of the home. The estimated damage to the vehicle was $1,200 and $500 to replace the window of the home.
Following the investigation, the officer filed charges against 45-year-old Russell Lee Gardner of Panora with a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief and two aggravated misdemeanors for first degree harassment and driving while barred. Once Gardner has been apprehended, he will be booked into the Greene County Jail.
