Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson is reporting record numbers.
General Manager Travis Dvorak mentioned at the most recent Greene County Development Corporation meeting that March was their best month ever.
“March was a record month and not just a record March but a record month altogether. Not only was it a record month for Jefferson, it was a record month for the whole state of Iowa. Wild Rose Jefferson, we’re ahead of the curve and we’re ahead of the state average in growth. We are number five in the state, so we’re happy with that.”
According to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, Wild Rose Jefferson reported a total of $41,787,804 between sports wagering, retail and internet gambling for March, which is about a seven-percent increase over February’s total. Dvorak noted sports wagering also did well last month.
“It was our first March Madness. As you know, last year got pulled from us with COVID. Sportsbook had a record month as well and then our sportsbook here in Jefferson was number two in the state.”
