Katrina Heupel scored on a penalty kick for the first goal of the season for the Greene County girls’ soccer team in a 2-1 loss at Humboldt on Friday night. Coach Peyton Paddock’s team fell to 0-6 on the season, but the Rams were in the game for the whole game for the first time this season. Prior to Friday, the fewest goals allowed had been eight, and the Rams had lost by 10 or more goals in four of the first five outings. .

The coach said Kaylee Stalder came up big in goal, even stopping a penalty kick.In all, the freshman keeper had 14 saves. Humboldt evened its record at 3-3.
