The Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson is less than two months away and plans continue to come together.
Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Events Team Chair Philip Heisterkamp says the live musical acts have been announced, with performances to take place on Saturday, June 12th. The evening starts with Hawk McIntire featuring Jake Doty, which Heisterkamp says made their initial appearance two years ago during the festival. The newcomer will be the featured act with a cover band called Decoy.
“Very exciting to have them coming here from Des Moines. They play in lots of popular venues and draw big crowds there. And so they again will play popular cover songs ranging from 70s, 80s, 90s to the modern songs that you hear today.”
Other plans include having the car show, bringing back the trick cycling performers with Champions Forever, along with continuing the open concept with serving alcohol around the downtown square. The festival is slated for June 11th and 12th.
