It’s day one of the 111th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines and all high school events are being held today. As a result, all three Raccoon Valley Radio stations will be airing a series of reports on performances involving area athletes.

Area athletes will be competing in nearly 30 events today and the schools we’ll be following include ADM, ACGC, DC-G, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, Panorama, and Winterset.

Greene County has four boys’ events and one girls’ event in action today. Brooklynn Olson is in the girls’ shot put at 1:30 p.m. Bryce Stalder is the first Ram to compete today. He’ll be in the long jump at 9:30 a.m. Stalder will be joined just after 11 a.m. by Nate Black, Jaxon Warnke, and Jackson Morton, in the 110 meter shuttle hurdle relay. Black will high jump at 1 p.m. and Morton will run the 110 high hurdles around 1: 50 p.m.

The first event is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start at Drake Stadium and our first report is set for 10:05 this morning.
