While there were a few cancellations due to weather, the Boys and Girls Soccer teams still took the field Monday. Both teams came away with victories.

For the West Central Valley Girls team they got back into the win column after a three game losing streak. The Wildcats are now 3-3 on the year with this 4-0 win over Grand View Christian. The Girls had their third shutout of the season in the victory. Junior Madelyn Jaeger led the team in scoring with two goals (four SOG). The Girls will look to keep the momentum going Thursday as they take on Tri-Center in Neola.

The Wildcats’ Boys team has now moved to 5-2 on the year with the 6-0 win over Grand View Christian. This is the fifth shutout of the year for West Central Valley. Goalie Nate Gerling has continued his impressive Freshman campaign with another near perfect performance. The Boys will have a longer time off. Their next game won’t be until next Tuesday as they travel to Des Moines Christian.
