The high school boys’ soccer season continued on Monday night in cool conditions for the Greene County Rams at Karber Field in Grand Junction. Coach Carl Behne’s team hosted the Harlan Community Cyclones and improved to 5-2 on the season with a 4-2 victory. The Cyclones have played most opponents close, but fell to 0-9.

Greene County led 4-0 early in the second half before the Cyclones scored the last two goals in the final 17 minutes of the contest. Freshman Jack Hansen opened the scoring with an assist by fellow ninth grader Nathan Behne. The goal came with 22:20 to play in the first half. The Rams made it 2-0 with 14:08 to go before intermission with freshman Gesser Aguilar scoring and the assist by senior Chance Mccollum. With only four seconds left in half number one the Cyclones knocked the ball into their goal to put the Rams up 3-0. It went to 4-0 on a goal with 34;42 remaining in the match on a goal by senior Alex Roberts with Jose Velazco credited with the assist.
