Adel-Desoto-Minburn soccer will be on the field in what is projected to be a cool evening in Central Iowa, as the Tigers will have the girls at home and the boys on the road, both taking on the Cubs of Nevada.
On the boys side, ADM comes into the game with a 4-2 record while Nevada comes in without a loss at 5-0. The Cubs have one of the most dynamic players at the 2A level, as Jose Buenrrostro has been able to put up 11 goals and 14 assists so far this season for the Cubs, putting up video game like numbers through five contests. The Cubs have 36 goals through five games, though ADM should give them a stingy test. The two have split the last four games in the series and ADM leads it since 2011 with a 5-4 record.
On the girls side, both ADM and Nevada come in with winning records with the Tigers at 4-2 and the Cubs at 3-2. The Tigers won the last matchup 5-0 back in 2019, and will be looking to duplicate similar success tonight. Senior Ashlyn Watt will be looking to continue her scoring frenzy for the Tigers, putting up 11 goals through six games this season.
Both of the matches will have the same start time at 5:30, which has been moved up from the original 7 o’clock start, with the girls to play at the ADM stadium and the boys to play at S.C.O.R.E. complex in Nevada.
