A Perry man was arrested following a high speed chase Sunday afternoon.
Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn tells Raccoon Valley Radio they had an arrest warrant that was issued for 29-year-old Anthony Booth for a probation revocation. He says an officer saw Booth leaving his home and tried to conduct a traffic stop, which Booth refused to pull his vehicle over. Booth drove east on Park Street and 130th Street north onto M Avenue.
Vaughn notes Booth then drove his vehicle into a wooded area where he fled on foot. Perry Police and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office eventually apprehended him near L Place and 130th Street. Booth was then charged with misdemeanors for eluding and interference with official acts, along with multiple traffic violations. Booth was booked and remains in the Dallas County Jail.
Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
