The Iowa House Ways and Means Committee recently passed legislation to help biofuels in Iowa.
House Representative for District 19 Carter Nordman says the bill is designed to help with expansion of selling ethanol.
“That bill still has a lot of conversation. We got it out of committee so we could bring it to our entire caucus and begin talking about it. It would definitely expand the sales of E15 to consumers and there is talks between both the House and the Senate on what we are going to do next.”
Nordman says he feels it is time to look at what they can do to bring more incentives to the production of ethanol in the state of Iowa. He adds, the bill would boost farm income, reduce emissions and expand access to ethanol at the pump.
