The Panora City Council approved the first reading of two ordinances that would increase service charges for water and sewer by five-percent at their regular meeting Monday.
Also, the Council approved for Region XII Council of Governments to move forward with a housing proposal, approved chamber wayfinding signs, held a public hearing on proposed changes to the light industrial district and the first reading of an ordinance of provisions relating to the light industrial district and waived the second and third required readings in favor of final adoption.
Finally, the Council approved a purchase of real estate, the closure of Highway 44 and other streets for Panorama Days on August 6-8, had a discussion regarding a water leak, and reviewed a road closure request.
