Dallas Center – Grimes girls track and field were able to put on a great showing on Monday night down in Norwalk, as they were able to walk away with the highest score from the nine team event. The Mustangs were able to post a team score of 154, defeating the host school by one point, and putting together one of their most respectable efforts of the season.
Kaleigh Lachacz was able to be the leading point scorer for the Mustangs, as she put up 20 total on the night, after winning both the discus and shot put throws as well, as she continues to tally victories on the season.
In the 800 meter run, Megan Sterbenz was able to put up the victory for the Mustangs, as she ran for a time of 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
DCG will be returning later this week on Thursday when they participate in a meet up in Ogden.
