After both Adel-Desoto-Minburn boys and girls soccer teams had a tough loss last weekend in Adel, both were on the prowl for rebound victories on Monday night, and that they found with the girls defeating Gilbert 4-1 at home and the boys winning on the road by the score of 1-0.
The girls were able to win thanks to a hat trick by senior Julia Case, who showed an incredible scoring prowess throughout the night, putting together a great game. Senior Ashlyn Watt was able to tally a goal as well, and senior Abby Gonzalez was able to put up two assists. Sophomore goalie Dani Person was able to put up 14 saves on the night, as the Tigers earned the win after the well rounded effort.
On the boys side, once again the Tigers were able to used their defense to their advantage to win the game posting another shutout on the season. Both ADM and Gilbert had multiple chances to break the game open, before a monster goal in the second half by the Tigers were able to bring them over the top for the victory.
Both of the ADM teams will have big games later this week against the Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs, with the girls to play on Thursday and the boys to play on Friday.
